Trudeau 'needs to know what’s going on' in Honduras, says journalist

Canada’s government should put more pressure on its Honduran counterpart to stamp out violence and repression in that country, says a Honduran journalist.
Fred Alvarado, a Honduran journalist and documentary filmmaker, said the new Liberal government should explore sanctions against Honduras, or the enforcement of environmental provisions in its trade deal with that country, as means to force the Honduran government to better protect human rights.
